One-on-One Firearms Training, Built Around You
Private lessons at EastBay Firearms Livermore are one-on-one (or two-person) training sessions built around what you want to work on. You might have just finished our Introduction to Firearms course and want hands-on range time to put the basics into practice. You might be new to handguns and want to learn to handle one safely and confidently before you buy. Or you might be an experienced shooter looking to tighten up your fundamentals and build better habits. Because there’s no class to keep pace with, you get your instructor’s full attention, immediate feedback, and the freedom to slow down and repeat whatever isn’t clicking yet. Every lesson is live fire, and the pace, focus, and skill level are set by your goals rather than a fixed curriculum. You can book solo or bring a spouse, partner, or friend to learn alongside you, which many students find makes the experience more comfortable and more fun.

Lesson Options & Pricing

  • 2-Hour Lesson, 1 Person: $240. A great follow-up to the Introduction to Firearms course, or a shorter, focused session.
  • 3-Hour Lesson, 1 Person: $360. More time to work through fundamentals, practice, and ask questions.
  • 3-Hour Lesson, 2 People: $390. Two-person lessons are always 3 hours so both students get enough time with the instructor. Lessons are limited to two people to keep the training personal.

Private lessons are available Mondays and Wednesdays between 10am and 6pm. Ammunition is not included (see below).

What to Know Before You Book

How to Book
To book a private lesson, please contact us through our contact form. We don’t use an online scheduler, so your request through the form is how we get you on the calendar. In your message, please let us know:

  1. Which lesson you’re interested in: 2 hours (1 person), 3 hours (1 person), or 3 hours (2 people)
  2. Your preferred day and time: Monday or Wednesday, between 10am and 6pm
  3. Whether you’ll need to borrow a firearm or plan to bring your own
  4. Whether you’ll need ammunition and roughly how much
  5. Your experience level and what you’d like to work on, so we can tailor the session to you

We’ll reply to confirm your date and time.

Firearms & Ammunition
You don’t need to own a firearm to take a lesson. We’ll provide one if you need it, so you can learn on the spot without any upfront investment. You’re also welcome to bring your own if you’d like to train with the firearm you plan to carry or use. Ammunition is not included in the lesson price. If you need ammo, tell us how much when you contact us.

After You Book
Once your lesson is confirmed, you’ll be able to reach Frank directly at frank@eastbayguns.com. Email him if you need to borrow a firearm, have questions about the class, or want to share details about your goals so he can prepare. Please use our contact form for all new bookings, as Frank can’t schedule lessons by email.

Cancellations: Cancellations require 7 days’ notice for a full refund. Cancellations made inside 7 days receive 50% store credit, and no-shows are not eligible for a refund or credit.
