Range Day is our monthly event at Livermore Pleasanton Rod & Gun Club
Where you can try out handguns from the EastBay Firearms inventory in a relaxed, no-pressure setting
We reserve lanes at LPRG on the last Saturday of each month and bring out a selection of handguns for attendees to shoot. You pay the LPRG range fee directly to the club and we cover the rest. There's no charge from us to try our handguns, and we usually feature new roster additions and popular models people are curious about before committing to a purchase.
Two Column Block
Try Before You Buy
Each Range Day has its own featured handgun lineup, which we post ahead of time so you know what you'll be able to shoot before you come out. The poster here shows the next scheduled date, the handguns we'll have at our reserved lanes, and any special notes for that particular event. We rotate the lineup each month based on what's new in the case, what's generating interest, and what roster additions are worth getting hands on.
Everyone who shows up for Range Day is welcome to try up to four handguns for free at our reserved lanes. If you want to shoot your own firearms as well, you're welcome to rent a separate lane at LPRG and shoot whatever you brought with you. You can hop over to our lanes anytime during the event to try ours at no extra cost beyond the LPRG range fee you've already paid.
If you're bringing friends or family members who are new to shooting, Range Day is a solid introduction. There's no pressure to buy anything, no rushed counter visit, and plenty of time to handle different models in a setting built for it.

What to Know Before You Come
You'll need a valid ID to sign in at LPRG, and all first-time shooters at the club need to fill out a waiver of liability. LPRG offers an online waiver form on their website that you can complete ahead of time to save yourself some time at check-in. Eye and ear protection are required on the range at all times, so bring your own if you have it. If you forget, LPRG has loaner protection available at the range office.
To hear about upcoming Range Days, follow EastBay Firearms on Instagram and Facebook, stop by the store, or give us a call. We'll also post updates on this page when the next date is scheduled.
Range Day is one of the best ways to get comfortable with a handgun before buying. Whether you're new to shooting or just want to try something that caught your eye in the case, we'd love to see you out there. For more information or to get in touch, visit our Contact Us page.
