Our handgun inventory changes regularly based on what's available and what's popular. Whether you're shopping for your first handgun, a home defense option, or a dedicated range pistol, the best way to see what's currently in the case is to stop by the store.

We typically carry handguns from Sig Sauer, Smith & Wesson, Springfield Armory, Kimber, Beretta, Heckler & Koch, and Walther, along with other manufacturers as availability allows. Our selection generally includes full-size duty pistols, compact and subcompact options popular for concealed carry, and traditional designs like the 1911. Since name and specs only tell you so much, we encourage you to come in and see how different models feel in person before making a decision.

California requires that all handgun purchases go through a licensed dealer and include a background check (DROS), a 10-day waiting period, a valid California ID, and a Firearms Safety Certificate (FSC). We offer the FSC test in-store, which takes about 20 minutes to complete and is valid for five years. Handguns are also the centerpiece of our monthly Range Day at Livermore Pleasanton Rod & Gun Club, held the last Saturday of each month.
