EastBay Firearms offers in-house gunsmithing services at our Livermore, CA location
Whether you just picked up a new rifle that needs an optic mounted, want to swap out a stock trigger, or need your carry gun cleaned after a long range session, our team handles most common gunsmithing work directly at the shop.
Our services include optics installation, parts installation, gun cleaning, and bore sighting. Bore sighting is included by default whenever we install an optic to get you close to zero before you head to the range. We can source most parts and optics for you, or you're welcome to bring in parts you've already purchased. We also stock a selection of common parts and accessories in-store, so depending on what you're looking for, we may have it on hand and ready to install the same visit.
California requires certain firearm parts to be shipped to a licensed FFL rather than directly to the buyer. If you've ordered parts online and need a California FFL to receive the shipment, we're happy to accept deliveries on your behalf. Just let us know ahead of time so we know what to expect.
For Cerakote work, we refer customers to a trusted outside specialist rather than trying to handle it in-house. Give us a call and we'll point you in the right direction.

Before You Come In
A few things worth knowing before you bring a firearm in for service. Any firearm brought into the shop must be unloaded, with the action open if possible and ideally in a case or bag. If you're having specific parts installed, you can either bring your own or ask us to source them for you, whichever is easier. We stock a selection of common parts and accessories in-store, so depending on what you need, we may already have it on hand.
If you're having an optic mounted, bring the optic itself and the rings or mount you plan to use. If your optic came with its own tools or manufacturer torque specs, feel free to bring those along as well, though we have everything needed to get the job done either way.
If you're not sure what you need, want to talk through options for an upgrade, or have a gun that needs something specific looked at, give us a call before you come in and we'll help you figure out the best approach. We handle most common work the same day when the shop isn't busy, and we're always happy to take a look at whatever you bring in.
